A new breakthrough in ready-to-wear labeling Fujitsu exhibits translucent RFID tags

Fujitsu Front Technology North America developed a low-cost, ultra-high-frequency radio frequency electronic clothing label (RFID) that is almost invisible on the garment.

According to the company, the Fujitsu WT-A522L label is about the size of a typical shirt collars, is translucent, and is almost invisible on retro-thin clothing. The label also provides protection against counterfeiting and fraud, and more precise tracking of rental clothing without having to read the barcodes one by one.

Dan Dalton, senior director of new product development at Fujitsu Advanced Technology North America, said, "The WT-A522L ready-to-wear label is a major breakthrough in apparel tracking."

“Fashion rental companies will not need to read barcodes one by one when transporting clothes or returning customers. The function of RFID tracking high-end fashion apparel includes confirming the authenticity of the clothes and helping to reduce the customer’s simple handling when handling the goods. The washable WT-A522L label for permanent wear in fashion apparel, suits, formal wear, jeans, shoes, handbags, and accessories can be easily sewn into garment hem, seams, or clothing manufacturer's clothing. label. Fujitsu also offers an adhesive label for shoes, handbags and accessories. The two labels are expected to be available at the end of the first quarter of 2016.

The WT-A522L has a label size of 55 mm x 10 mm x 0.3 mm and is suitable for general household washing or dry cleaning, as well as ironing.
